Planning Your Wedding After Covid-19

After months of wedding plans either changing or being put on hold, we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. The surrounding Philadelphia area will be moving into the yellow phase soon and hopefully not too long after into the green phase. As life moves into a new normal, we can start planning larger gatherings but be mindful that there is a plan B so all possibilities are covered. When planning large scale events we have to consider what makes us comfortable in regards to safety. A few things to keep in mind, check with your venue to confirm the number of people allowed is your total guest count or does that number include staffing for your event. Ask what safety measures they are taking such as their policy of wearing masks, food service, social distancing, how many guest per table and is there limited dancing. With these factors in mind, decide how this will affect you and your guests especially those who are older, may have compromised immune systems or even traveling from a distance. Some of these questions are also applicable to your other vendors such as your band or DJ, florist and photographers. When you have answers to these questions, you will have a better understanding of the situation. You then can proceed as planned or may have to modify plans. The key is to take a deep breath and relax. We ( you and your vendors ) are all navigating this together. No matter what, the goal is to make your wedding day as special and memorable as possible!
